Colorful Alleyway in Las Cruces

Downtown Las Cruces, New Mexico, is very colorful. Main Street has a variety of shops and museums, along with interesting architecture.  I happened on this small alleyway and loved what I saw. A beautiful mosaic tile walkway, plenty of greenery, and colorful canopies. In other words, a photographer’s dream. Lots of colors and texture.

Unlike some cities, Las Cruces has a vibrant downtown. There’s a Saturday morning farmer’s market. There are parades and other holiday festivities. All the businesses are all locally owned. You won’t find a fast food place or a chain store. That’s what I like the best. If you’re passing through New Mexico, Las Cruces is worth a visit.
