Last fall a good friend asked me if I’d like to photograph some pecan groves. Heck yes! So she took me for a drive along New Mexico Highway 85. It’s the backroad between Las Cruces to El Paso, A large portion of the roadway is lined with pecan groves. The fall foliage created a beautiful scene. It looked almost like an oil painting. She pulled over to the side of the roadway, and I grabbed my camera. We laughed about all the no tressing signs. As a photographer I respect people’s private property. My zoom lens, however, does not. While I stood at the fence, my zoom lens did its thing as it stealthily brought the images to me.
